To the right you can see Sian, Mel and myself sat with some Penguins in Cape Town, South Africa. Earlier in the holiday it had been 'On Saffari' in Johannesberg. Teneriffe - July 1994
I guess the first question here is 'is Teneriffe in Africa?' Well, politically the answer is 'no' but geographically it is far nearer Africa than it is Europe (Spain). So for the purposes of this website I'm gonna put it in Africa. Through the Friedreich's Ataxia Group I met 3 fellow sufferers Donna, Sian and Mel. We decided to have a weeks break in Teneriffe. We took with us 3 pushers and in the end 7 of us went. Pictured (left) from right to left are: Mel, Caroline, Heather, Sian and myself. Not pictured: Donna and John.
