Israel - December 1995

I guess you can argue 'till your blue in the face as to whether Israel is in Europe or Asia. Israel is in the Eurovision song Contest after all. For the purpose of this website I am putting it here in Asia as I've only got one otherwise! Late in 1995 I visited the Holyland of Israel with the Winged Fellowship. There were a group of about 30 of us. We visited Bethlehem, Jerusalem and Nazareth and sailed over the Sea of Galilee in a boat. To the right you can see me and Mel (I just happened to go with Mel to Asia both times) sat by the Dead Sea. In the background of this picture you can see someone floating in the sea. The salt content in this sea is the highest in the world and so floating in it is quite an easy task (so I am told)

 

Hong Kong - October 1994

I was one of 40 people who went on Holiday to Hong Kong arranged by Surrey Phab. The picture to the left is of me and my dearly departed friend Mel sat by the swimming pool at our residence for the holiday: the Pok Fu Lam Phab centre.
